- to find the radius of the whirligig at top speed is the length of the chain PLUS the radius of the whirligig at rest.
- to find the radius of the whirligig at rest you must first find the circumference.
- to find the length of the chain you must first measure angle 1 by looking through the accelerometer to the top of the chain. Then move back 10 meters and measure angle 2 again looking through the accelerometer to the top of the chain.
-It fits about 48 passengers, if there is only one person per seat.
This is probably the best swings i've ever been on.
The Whirligig looked very fun and I wanted to ride it very badly, but our group had just ate and I didn't want anything happening. I was also afraid that the dangling of my legs would further injure my sprained ankle which had happened only two days before. Maybe next time I go to Six Flags I'll go on it.
It's location is in Yankee Harbor.
I liked this ride and it's similar to the swings at Navy Pier.
The whriligig isnt that intense but its force is pretty great pushing the chains in a circular motion moving the chairs around the ride.
